Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to connect schools and families:

• Account details: name and email address, collected when you sign in through Wizgu Auth.
• Phone number: provided by the school coordinator when adding a parent contact.
• Student information: child's name, grade, and class section, entered by the school coordinator.
• PTM responses: your meeting time preferences and attendance confirmation, stored when you respond to a Parent–Teacher Meeting invitation.
• Device push token: if push notifications are enabled, your device's FCM token is stored to deliver notifications.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to run the school communication service:

• Display class notices and announcements to parents of students in the relevant class.
• Send PTM invitations and record your meeting time responses.
• Allow coordinators to manage student and contact records.
• Deliver push notifications about school updates (if you have opted in).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to school communication.

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data is shared only as follows:

• Wizgu Auth (auth.wizgu.com): all user accounts and app data are stored and managed through Wizgu Auth. Their service handles authentication, data storage, and access control on our behalf.
• School coordinators: coordinators of your school can view and manage student and contact records for their school only.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Security

All data is stored and secured through Wizgu Auth. Access to school data is controlled by Wizgu's collection access modes: only authenticated users can read data, and only authorized coordinators can write it.

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS at all times.
• We do not store passwords — authentication is managed entirely by Wizgu Auth.

Children's Privacy

School Connect stores information about students (minors) including names, grades, and class sections. This information is entered and managed solely by school coordinators, not by children themselves.

Parents and guardians may contact their school coordinator at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your school uses School Connect. If you wish to have your account or personal data deleted, contact your school coordinator or reach out to us at the address below.

Student records are removed when a coordinator deletes them from the system.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time through your device settings.
