Terms of Use

The plain-language rules for using Finora.

Effective August 5, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Finora, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree to them, please don't use the app.

What Finora is (and isn't)

Finora is a personal tool for logging and organizing your own transactions, budgets, and bills on your own device. It is not a bank, a payment processor, or a financial institution — it doesn't move money, connect to your bank accounts, or provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Figures Finora displays are only as accurate as what you enter; always check against your actual bank/card statements for anything that matters.

Your data, your responsibility

Because everything is stored locally and encrypted (see the Privacy Policy), you are responsible for backing up your own data using the in-app encrypted backup feature, with a password you'll remember. There is no server-side copy. If your device is lost, damaged, reset, or the app's storage is cleared without a backup, we have no way to recover your data.

License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Finora on your own devices for your own personal finance tracking. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer for competing-product purposes, or use Finora for any unlawful purpose.

No warranty

Finora is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Software has bugs; if you find one, we'd genuinely like to hear about it (see Contact), but we can't guarantee any specific fix or timeline.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finora's developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — including loss of data that occurred without a backup, or financial decisions made based on figures displayed in the app.

Updates

Finora periodically checks whether a newer version is available. If your installed version falls below the minimum supported version, the app may require an update before continuing. Continuing to use Finora after an update means these terms apply to the version you're currently running.

Third-party services

Finora doesn't embed third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing SDKs. If a future version ever integrates a third-party service, this section — and the Privacy Policy — will be updated to say so before that version reaches you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, to the extent they apply. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change with it. Continued use of Finora after an update means you accept the revised terms.
